Meet Qui Tan Le
Photographer. Traveler. Engineer
I am an engineer by training and a photographer by passion.
I travel the world in search of extraordinary light, capturing
landscapes that evoke emotion, preserve a sense of place,
and endure beyond the moment.
Photography allows me to combine two sides of who I am:
the curiosity and emotion of an artist, and the patience,
precision, and attention to detail of an engineer.
Born in Vietnam. Inspired by light since the age of twelve.
A journey shaped by curiosity, travel, and a lifelong pursuit of mastery.
PHOTOGRAPHER
My interest in photography began when I was about twelve years old in Vietnam. I spent hours in libraries reading photography books, learning about cameras, exposure, composition, and light.
As I grew up, I joined local photography clubs, learned from mentors, and gained real-world experience. I later advanced my education through a correspondence course with the New York Institute of Photography (NYIP), earning Master Photographer recognition.
What began as childhood curiosity became a lifelong passion.
TRAVELER
Travel has deeply shaped the way I see the world.
From the mountains of the American West to the historic villages of Europe and the landscapes and cultures of Asia, every journey teaches me something new. I am drawn to places where nature, weather, and human history intersect.
I chase light—dawn before sunrise, in changing weather, or in quiet moments when most people have moved on. Patience, observation, and preparation help me capture images that reflect not just where I was, but what it felt like to be there.
ENGINEER
I have built a career of more than twenty years in chemistry, semiconductor process engineering, and manufacturing research and development.
Engineering taught me discipline, analytical thinking, precision, and problem-solving—skills I bring into every photograph. I study light, composition, and detail with the same rigor I apply to solving complex engineering challenges.
That combination of creativity and technical precision allows me to create photographs that are both artistically compelling and technically refined.
THE ART OF SEEING
